Soprano Sarah Luebke, our soloist, has appeared in opera, musical theater, and concert stages across the United States and Europe.  Stage roles include Yum-Yum (Mikado), Rose Maybud (Ruddigore), La Fée (Cendrillon), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos), Monica (The Medium), Serpina (La Serva Padrona), Nora (Riders to the Sea), Nella (Gianni Schicchi) and Lucinda (Into the Woods).  Ms. Luebke performed the female lead, Jane McDowell, in Stephen Foster: The Musical with Stephen Foster Productions.   She also served as a young artist with Twin Cities’ Opera Guild and with the Janiec Opera Company at the Brevard Music Festival.  Solo concert performances include appearances with the Rochester Oratorio Society, the Houghton College Choir, Amherst Symphony Orchestra, Ashland Chamber Music Society, Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and the Chequamegon Symphony Orchestra.
 
Ms. Luebke has studied under renowned voice teachers Jane Randolf (San Francisco Conservatory) and Stanford Olsen (University of Michigan), and vocal coach Eric McEnaney (Minnesota Opera).  She completed a MM in vocal performance and pedagogy at the University of Kentucky under the instruction of Dr. Everett McCorvey, and a BM in vocal performance at St. Olaf College under the instruction of Prof. Janis Hardy.
 
Ms. Luebke equally finds herself at home in the voice studio, teaching classical and musical theater voice.  Many of her students have enjoyed success in competitions and earning entrance into top music schools and performance programs. Student Trevor Rayhons won first place in the high school male division at the 2014 National NATS auditions in Boston.  In the three years of her involvement with the Iowa and Central Regional NATS auditions, she had nine students advance to semi-finals, five students place in their division, and one student win their division at the Central Regional level. Her students have performed leading roles with Opera Breve and the Stephen Foster Musical Theatre Company, and also have gone on to pursue music performance and education degrees at Florida State University, the Conservatory of Music at University of Missouri – Kansas City, Westminster Choir College, Simpson College, and Stetson University.  Several of her students have performed at Interlochen Summer Music Program, Westminster Choir College High School Solo Vocal Program, and the St. Olaf College Summer Music Camp. 

Ms. Luebke currently serves on the voice faculty at Houghton College, and has served on the faculties of Waldorf College, Northern Iowa Area Community College, the University of Wisconsin- Superior and Northland College.  She has also served as voice instructor for Leon HS and Chiles HS performing arts programs.  She is an active member of the New York chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
