About the Artist
Soo Yeon Kim, violin

Our guest artist, Soo Yeon Kim, a native of South Korea, will perform the beloved Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto. Ms. Kim has distinguished herself in many venues: soloist; chamber musician; and orchestra member. She has worked in Master Classes with eminent artists such as: American String Quartet; Emerson String Quartet; Juilliard Quartet. Peter Serkin and many others. A graduate of Juilliard receiving her Bachelor's and Master's degrees there, Soo Yeon is now pursuing her doctorate degree at Eastman..Ms. Kim is an assistant professor of violin and viola and Director of Chamber Ensembles at Houghton College.
