Welcome to the 73rd Season

The Amherst Symphony Orchestra is really old. We are the oldest volunteer community orchestra presenting free concerts in the U.S.A. We have never missed a season in 72 years and now are charging into our 73rd, still full of youthful exuberance, vitality, vim and vigor. (especially that “vim” stuff.) Our musicians come from all walks of life, joining together for the pure joy that comes from playing great music. This year we stretch our wings even further to reach more deeply into the fabric of the WNY community as outreach ensembles perform at hospitals, nursing homes and inner city schools. As always we are honored and thankful for your support.
Ron Daniels, President
ASO Association Board
The all volunteer Amherst Symphony Orchestra always welcomes musicians interested in joining our ensemble. Due to smaller sections of winds and percussion, openings may not be immediately available, and we may hold your name for future reference. Seating in the string sections is less limited.
